What is PeopleVoice?

PeopleVoice is a civic platform where citizens write permanent, verified messages to their MPs, ministers, and political parties. Every message is tied to a real identity — one account per citizen — so politicians and the public know the voices are genuine.

Every message is scored by our moderation system the moment it is submitted. High-confidence clean messages are approved automatically; anything that triggers a flag — low trust score, suspected keyword, or unusual submission pattern — is held for human review before it appears publicly. Once approved, a message becomes part of an unalterable public record. Even if it is later removed, a tombstone entry remains so nothing disappears quietly.

Politicians receive regular digests of messages addressed to them. Journalists, researchers, and constituents can browse the full archive. The goal is simple: make it impossible for elected officials to claim they never heard from the public.

Every account is tied to a verified phone number. This one-to-one link between citizen and message is what makes PeopleVoice different from comment sections and petition sites — every voice is real.

Frequently asked questions

Is this real?

Yes. Messages are sent to real politicians' offices and published on the permanent public record. PeopleVoice is not a petition site — each message is individually authored and tied to a verified citizen.

Do politicians actually see this?

All messages are also publicly visible, so constituents, journalists, and researchers can read them at any time — regardless of whether a politician's office acknowledges them.

What happens to my message?

Your message is reviewed within 4 hours. If approved, it is published and archived permanently. If a message is later removed, a tombstone record remains visible — the public record is never silently altered.

Is it moderated?

Yes. Every message is scored automatically the moment it is submitted. Clean, high-confidence messages are approved quickly; anything flagged — low trust score, keyword match, or unusual pattern — is held for human review. A human moderator makes the final call on every borderline case. Monthly statistics are published in the Transparency section.

Is it free?

Yes. PeopleVoice is completely free for citizens. We are funded by donations and grants from people who believe in civic transparency.

How moderation works

Every message is scored by our moderation system on submission. High-confidence clean messages are approved automatically. Any message that triggers a flag — low trust score, suspected keyword, or unusual pattern — is held for human review before it appears publicly. A human moderator makes the final call on every borderline case.

Monthly transparency reports publish full decision data — approved, rejected, escalated, and appealed — so you can hold us accountable too.
